Brooklyn's First Concert

My sister and her family are all about finding, researching and taking advantage of free things that are offered in and around the Dallas area.  One of their greatest finds?  DAVID CHICKEN!
Who David Chicken you may ask?  Well, he is a very skinny grown man who wears sparkly green shorts, a chicken on his head, plays a chicken-shaped guitar and sings silly songs.  My niece and nephew LOVE him and kinda stalk him actually...this is the 3rd concert they've been to of his and this time they invited Brooklyn and I along for the fun!

Brooklyn took her nap in the car on the way there.  As soon as she woke up, I put her in her stroller and headed inside so she was still waking up and pretty calm for the majority of the conert.  On the last very last song, there was a place in the chorus for the audience to sing, "yeah, yeah, yeah" and she was a beat or 2 behind, but finally started to wake up and participate.  I don't think she has quite the LOVE and ENTHUSIASM for David Chicken that her cousins do, but she is a pretty good concert buddy (with snacks of course)!

The concert was in a mall, so after the concert we headed over to the play area and let the kids play together for a little while.  Then, we all had a snack before heading home.  Yummy Auntie Anne's pretzels!  We had so much fun on our playdate and are up for more free Dallas adventures anytime!  Please call again, Buie family!
