Halloween Weekend 2010

On Saturday, we had two costume parties.

First, we went to a 1-year-old birthday/costume party and  our girls were bees.
Brooklyn is such a funny child to me.  The party was for one of Eddie's colleague's children who Brooklyn has never met before.  So she didn't know anyone at the party and had never been there before, but still wasn't shy or clingy at all.  She LOVES toys and loves to play by herself so she immediately made herself at home.
There are really cute wings and an antenae headband that complete this outfit, but Brooklyn would have no part of that.  Oh...the joys of having a 2-year-old.  =)
Chandler, on the other hand, is pretty laid back and cuddly so everyone at the party kept asking to have a turn to hold her.  I didn't take pictures of the random adults holding her and, if you are worried, they never took her out of my sight.  =)

Our second party was a Fall Block Party that the people on one entire street put on for our whole neighborhood!

I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but they had 2 giant bounce houses with slides, BBQ, a fire truck and police cars for the kids to climb through and real firemen and policemen!  It was a beautiful day and there was a great turn out!

Brooklyn thought the firetruck was really fun!

On Sunday, we dressed the girls up, but just laid low, passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters, grilled out and watched the Rangers lose.

This time the girls were Little Bo Peep and her Little Lost Sheep

Brooklyn had a hat to go with the outfit, but WOULD NOT allow it to be on her head.
I also think it is hilarious that Chandler is all dressed up in this crazy costume, but is just chilling like everything is totally normal.

Note how red her little cheeks are!  She was only in the costume long enough to take these few pictures.
Finally a decent one of Chandler's face.  (the picture above) Don't you just need to kiss those cheeks?!?

After Chandler went to sleep, Brooklyn Bo Peep found a replacement sheep.

The End.

Nalley Update

Brooklyn had dress up day at school...
and she's learned all of her shapes!!

Chandler is big and sturdy enough to BUMBO!
And is really starting to coo.  Of course, she was doing it a ton until I started videoing.  She is still doing it at the very beginning and then she stops so you probably don't want to listen to the whole thing.  =)

And Eddie and I have really gotten into the Rangers since we've been back in Dallas.  We can tell you who plays every position, the batting order and know a few of the player's stories...totally into it.  It makes it so much more fun to follow!!  It's so fun that THIS just happens to be the first year ever that the Rangers have made it to the world series!!
Clearly, we are also familiar with their hand signals.  =)  Game 1 of the World Series is tonight!!
Let's go Rangers!!

2 Months Old!!

2-Month Stats:

Ht: 24 inches long, 95th%
Wt: 11 lbs 9 oz, 75th%
HC: 15 inches, 25%

So...Big girl, Small head =)

The doctor said that everything looked great!  When he "stood her up," she put her weight on legs and can really hold herself up.  The doctor was impressed and said he was amazed by her "muscle structure."  He said she supports herself and holds her head up like what he would typicall see in a 4-month-old.  Go Chandler!

The picture above doesn't look like her to me, but it was the best "sitting up" picture I had where you could see the sign.  The picture below looks more like her.
For her 2-month birthday, we had a couple of friends over to celebrate...

(or maybe it had something to do with Arkansas playing Auburn, but don't tell Chandler because then we will have to tell her how the game ended and we all know how she feels about losing.  =))

Brooklyn's best friends, Ava and Macy, were there, too.  Apparently the "cool thing" to do when you're 2 is to play outside with 1 shoe off.  They did this the last time they played at our house, too.  Such funny little girls!  They also had a blast being lift into the air and being twirled around by Eddie's friend, Tiaan.  When they all got tired of taking turns, he got creative!

He had the 3 of them do a group hug, and then picked them all up at the same time and twirled them around.  They all thought it was hilarious!  As did the rest of us watching this madness!  Fun times!

Happy 2-Month Birthday, sweet Chandler Alexis!

The Grandma's Come to Town

Last Friday, both the grandmothers were in town and watched the girls and gave me the day off!!  Brooklyn and Chandler are really lucky to have the best grandmas ever!!  Not only are they super-fun, but they also take some great pictures!  Here are just a few!

Having a blast at the park!!

Hanging out in the playroom

I have about 100 of these smiley pictures of Chandler with the Grandmas!  I think she wishes every weekend was Grandma weekend.

On Saturday, Mom watched the girls, while Eddie's parents, Eddie and I went to the Arkansas vs. A&M game.
And apparently she said something HILARIOUS!

Brooklyn playing in her baby doll stroller...
Chandler playing on her mat
(She will lay on this for like 20 minutes totally content.)

Meanwhile, we were having a blast at Jerry's World

This time WE WON!!

This made Chandler SO HAPPY!!

I mean, seriously...don't you just wish you could get this baby to smile every once in a while?

Then, on Sunday, Eddie and I took both sets of Grandparents to the Cowboys game to thank them for ALL of the time they have spent babysitting and caring for our daughters.

Oh yeah...and we took my sister, Natalie, and her husband, Robbie, for all of the babysitting they are GOING to do!  Right, guys?

As we took this picture above, I thought...this will be me and my girls in 20 years (if Jesus doesn't come back boefore then)!

The Cowboys didn't win this time and we didn't see a celebrity, but we still had the BEST TIME EVER and we still love our "boys."
