Little Gym

Yesterday was the last class of the semester for Little Gym and maybe the last class forever because they informed us that it is CLOSING!!  I can't tell you how sad I am about this because Brooklyn LOVES it and it is something FUN we can do INSIDE when it's blistering hot outside in the summer.  Oh well.  We had a really good time.
(Brooklyn is the one NOT holding her mother's hand...the one in the black leotard.)

She was a-swinging!  (Isn't that a song or something?)

(She's gotten really good at jumping, but I couldn't quite catch her in the air.)

And here she is getting a medal for being the best gymnast in class!!

Or...maybe they just gave those out to all of the kiddos in class.

And one last hug for our teacher, Ms. Jessica, who we will miss very much!
(So...we got her number and may use her for babysitting in the near future!!)

Good-bye Little Gym!!

p.s.  I had a doctor's appointment today and Chandler's heartrate was 142, which is good!  Today was the day that I had to drink that super-sugary drink so that they could draw blood to make sure I don't have pregnancy induced diabetes.  Well, the sugary drink made Chandler CRAZY!  They had a hard time getting her to be still enough to even get the heartbeat.  She measured 28 weeks and that is exactly what I am, so we are right on track.

Weekend Fun!

What a fun weekend we had!!  On Friday night, we FINALLY took advantage of living so close to my sister and went out to their pool for Brooklyn's first swim of the summer and a little cousin fun.

She LOVED it!!  From the moment her feet hit the water, she was all smiles and giggles.  This pool is a walk-in pool, so when she would get too deep and lose her footing, her very cool cousin Lawson would carry her back to a more shallow spot so she stand on her own.  And as you can see, Lawson was VERY happy to help!

Then we had a little poolside pizza picnic.  Brooklyn actually ate some pizza!!  (Woo Hoo!  She doesn't eat much besides chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and spaghettios these days.)

By the end of the evening, you can tell she was exhausted because she is NEVER this still!!  Thanks Buie's for letting us come over!!  We had a blast!!

After that Friday night of fun, we woke up on Saturday to go and check out the Founder's Day Festival here in Rockwall!  You know how there are those children who are understandably frightened by scary costume people?

Not Brooklyn!!  In fact, maybe the scarier-looking the better?  Because this was a very scary looking Mickey!!

And then to top off this weekend full of fun, Eddie's mom came in town and offered to keep B so that Eddie and I could have a date night!!  We went to dinner in our new favorite area...the Harbor (that overlooks the lake).  The weather was perfect and we LOVED our date night out!!

Thanks, Ms. M, for coming to visit and for watching Brooklyn so that we could enjoy a quite dinner with just the two of us!!  We appreciate you more than you know!

New Baby's Name!

I'm 27 weeks pregnant now and officially in my 3rd and last trimester of this pregnancy.  =(  It has gone by SO FAST!!  I'm still feeling GREAT and am really excited to announce that we've finally decided on a name!!  Our new baby's name will be...
Chandler Alexis Nalley
(It's a lot cuter in a Curlz or Cursive font, but the fonts that I have to choose from on this blog are limited.)

We are still working on the nursery, but we have picked out and purchased some really cute bedding!

We will be doing it with black furniture and green walls, though like this picture below.

We also have the crib and changing table that Chandler's VERY THOUGHTFUL Aunt Ashley is letting us borrow.  We just have to re-stain or paint it to match the room.  Thanks Ashley!!  You are the best!

I'll leave you with this cute picture of Eddie and Brooklyn from our trip to the zoo last Friday.

It was really a successful trip until these black clouds rolled over our heads bringing a WATERFALL of rain along with them!  According to Eddie and Brooklyn, though, this might have been the highlight of the whole fun day.  They sprinted ALL THE WAY to the car with Eddie pushing B in the stroller (with me about a mile behind trying to keep up).  She laughed and giggled and squealed the whole way like she was on the most fun roller coaster ride EVER!  By the time we got to the car, we were totally out of breath, laughing hysterically (including B) and looked like we had just climbed out of a swimming pool with our clothes on. Such fun times with the fam!

Weekend of Firsts

My long-time friend, Dana, came in town this weekend to enjoy one last girls weekend as a single lady!  We met up with our friend, Allison, spent the majority of the weekend shopping and trying to get her outfitted for her wedding and honeymoon.  We did manage to squeeze in a trip to the nail salon where Dana enjoyed her FIRST pedicure EVER!!  In fact, I think this might be the beginning of an addiction for her.
And then, for dinner, we ate at The BlueFish where Allison tried sushi for the first time ever.  Although it was a little outside her comfort zone, she thought it wasn't that bad and said she would actually go again!

Meanwhile, back at home, Brooklyn and Eddie were having their FIRST EVER daddy/daughter day!  Eddie has kept Brooklyn by himself for a couple of hours at a time, but never for a full day!  From getting her up and dressed (he even put a bow in her hair!), keeping her fed and in dry diapers all day, to brushing her teeth and putting her down at night!!  Way to go, Eddie!!  I asked him all week to remember get some pictures of their day and reminded him via texts and phone calls during the day, but I think his hands were pretty full.  Oh well.  Here is a recent picture of her anyway.
This picture is from a day last week where I dressed her in this cute new dress (Thanks Aunt Babs) and took her to a party only to have the date of the party wrong!!  Probably my very most embarrassing moment in a long time!!

Brooklyn's Room...Check!

I LOVE having company in town because it motivates me finish projects.  We are having company this weekend so this week my project has been to finish Brooklyn's room.  We've basically just duplicated the room in Arkansas, but for those of you who never saw that room, here it is completed in our new house in Texas...

I had to close the blinds to get the pictures to take, so it looks alot darker in these pictures than it is in real life.

Now we just have to get started on the new baby's room!  Speaking of "New Baby," I had another doctor's appointment today and everything looked good.  New Baby's heartrate was 148 and she is still measuring on the bigger side of normal.  I'm 25 weeks and she is measuring 29 weeks!!

We still don't have a name for our new baby girl, but think that we have it narrowed down to 3?  We like Delaney Meyer.  Meyer is a family name.  My only issue with this name is that Eddie said everyone will call her "Big D" and that just doesn't sit well with me!  We also like either Chandler Allyson or Chandler Alexis.  Eddie likes this name, but is kinda concerned because he thinks she might get mistaken for a boy.  Our third choice is Lakyn Alexis or Lakyn Meyer.  We both really like this name, but feel like Brooklyn and Lakyn might be to "water-y."    So that's where we are with that!
