Gibson - 10 Months Old!!

10 Months Old!!
The thing that I think most defines his little personality right now is his sense of humor.
He laughs at everything and about everything.  Any sound or funny face or Baby Einstein video...anything causes the biggest belly laugh.  Also, if he does something that makes us laugh, he'll laugh with us and then do it again and again and again.
Not sure where they came from, but LOVE his dimples!!
(nevermind the princess want...that's just how life is going to be with 2 older sisters)
The thing that OTHERS most comment on is no longer his perfectly round head, but his size!
He's HUGE!  And I agree with them!  When I pick him up, I often think he feels like he swallowed some 5 lb weights.  His hands are just...large.  His legs aren't fully of little rolls, but are solid, thick masses.

Can you see his first faux hawk I gave him in the bathtub the other night?  He's finally gotten some hair.  It had actually gotten long enough over his ears and on the sides in the back to get his first haircut.  I didn't get pictures because his hair is so light I didn't think you'd actually be able to tell a difference in a photograph.
One of the cutest (possibly quirkiest) things about him is that whenever we put him down to sleep in his crib, he immediately crawls over and lays his head on the bumper and sleeps like that!  It's like it is a pillow!  Pretty precious!
This month we had a little scare!  Gibson was running a slight fever and slept for 17 hours straight!!  He slept from 1:45 in the afternoon until 6:30 the next morning when I woke him up because I just couldn't stand it any longer!!  He would fuss and move when we would go in to take his temperature so  we knew he wasn't in a coma...just not feeling well.  He woke up and did fine the next day, but was really scary for a little while!
But when he is not sick or feeling bad,
He's the happiest little guy I know!
If this little face doesn't make you happy, nothing will!!
He is still not walking and I don't feel like he is close.  He no longer likes to practice standing and balancing.  He prefers to be holding on to someone or something and feel secure.
He does easily pull-up and on anything and cruises around everywhere.
His top 2 teeth are really close to coming in and he is also big enough to do this!!
Yes, he is no longer grocery shopping in his carseat.  He sits up front like a big kid.  Say it ain't so!
Some of his very favorite things to do are to go for a stroller ride,
watch the baby channel in his "mini recliner",
and dress up to support his favorite teams.
Just kidding about the last one...I just had these really cute pictures of him in sports apparel and needed a way to work them into this blog.  =)
Kinda wish I could repeat month 10.  I think it's been my favorite with him so far (except for the one scary night!)

Happy Birthday, Gibson!!

And, of course...here are the outtakes from our little photo session...

We're doing pictures again, Mom?
OK!  How's this smile?
Or this one?
Oh.  Was that too Much?   How about if I lean this way?
Huh?
 I give up.
You still taking pictures of me?
 Oh.  This is just hilarious!

 I love photo shoots!!
OK, Mom one last smile, then I'll need to rest these cheeks.
OK.  Hang on!  My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
I can't even look at you because if I do, I'll laugh.
OK.  Last one, then all done!

Chandler Starts Preschool!

Chandler's 1st Day of Preschool!
Chandler has been excited about starting Preschool ALL SUMMER LONG and has been especially excited to get to have the same teachers Brooklyn had.
And, yes, she was only 1 and it may seem crazy, but she has a crazy memory and has always been very verbal.
I knew she would be excited about going to school that morning at our house...and as you can see...she clearly was.
However, she is a big-time mommy's girl and I wasn't sure how she would do when she actually had to walk into the classroom all by herself.
Fortunately, the teacher had sparkly blue toenail polish and painted nails are one of her favorite things on earth!  She walked right in, put her toes right next to her teachers and said,
"I got paint on my toes just like you got paint on your toes.  It's a match!"
Once she was in, she never looked back and her teachers said she didn't cry once all day!
We followed up her first day of school with her first trip to the dentist!
Brooklyn went about a month ago and Chandler has been dying for a turn!  She couldn't wait and our fabulous dentist office didn't disappoint.  They took great care of her and she was SOOOO HAPPY the whole time.  One of the ladies there told me she really wanted to take her home because she was so happy and so much fun (and, of course, so chatty...pretty sure she charmed the whole office with her large vocabulary and even larger lisp)!
To top of the fabulous time she had in the room, they sent home a sack of prizes...a new toothbrush, toothpaste, chapstick, etc.
Could life GET any better for this sweet girl?
