Gibson is 2!

Stats: 

Height:  36"...88th%

Weight:  31"...80th%

Head Circumference:  19.5"...74th%

 Gibson is a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, dimple-cheeked, big boy who KNOWS what he wants!

And here is what he wants:

A box of colors (not to color with...just to hold tightly in his hand)

pumpkins

milk (LOTS OF IT!!)

a set of real car-keys

Mickey Mouse

peanut butter and jelly

and his mommy!

 Discounting the picture above,

he is actually very cautious!

 He doesn't like to be by himself.

He wants to be where his people are.

And by "his people", I mostly mean me. He is kind-of like an appendage these days.

But he also loves being with his sisters, grandma's and Ms. Ann.

So people that ADORE him and think everything he does is the cutest thing ever.  I get that.  =)

 He has quite a sense of humor.  LOVES to laugh.  I really doesn't take much!

And he will laugh SOOO hard that you can't help but laugh with him.

 He also LOVES sunglasses.  If you see pics of him in some, just know it was always his idea!

He is a great sleeper. 

He sleeps about 12 hours at night and always gives me at least a 2-4 hour nap during the day. 

 He needs all that sleep because he is pretty active and intense!

When he is happy, he's super-happy, but he will also throw a pretty impressive fit if he's not.

 And he loves to go somewhere.  Anywhere.

Around 10 am, if we are not headed out the door, he lets us all know it's time for him to get out of the house.

 He is ADORED by his sisters!

Here they are giving him every toy we have in the playroom.

They love to hug him and figure out ways to make him laugh!

 He will give a hug to just about anyone on command,

but will NOT be still or pose for a picture.  Ever.

 That's why all his pictures are action shots.

 He will be still and an AMAZING snuggle buddy, though, if there is some Mickey Mouse involved.

I sometimes feel guilty about letting him watch so much TV (and by TV, I really just mean Mickey), but it has taught him SOOOO much!

His accomplishments to date:

puts sentences together...from like 2-5 words

counts to 20 (the teens get a bit questionable)

knows all his shapes

knows all his colors

can sing the alphabet

stacks blocks really high

feeds himself with a fork or spoon

knows all of our names

 has more words than I can count and will try to repeat anything we say

 He is a very picky eater.

 He loves to go on walks and try on mommy's shoes.

 Boy-ish things about Gibson:

LOVES balls and is surprisingly good at playing catch

thinks it is hilarious when he passes gas and always claims it!

he always has dirt under his fingernails...and we rarely play in it???

Likes to rough house and wrestle

loves to be outside

 But he's not too manly to wear mommy's shades,

 sister's hair accessories

  or mommy's shoes!

 In fact, those were ALL his ideas!

 He's well-rounded and smart!

 And totally melts our hearts...
