Brooklyn started off her 6th birthday right!
We had stayed the night at Eddie's parents house and Big Bird had gone out super-early and brought home chocolate and pink Krispy Kreme donuts and awesome hats to surprise the kids with when they woke up!!
Chocolate and pink donuts are her very favorite!! Can you think of any better way to start your day?
(It was also very close to her cousin Henry's birthday, too so we celebrated him as well! And notice her pajamas...her birthday was on Father's Day this year...just like the year she was born.)
We sang Happy Birthday, she blew out her candles, then got to open her present from Gie-Gie and Big Bird.
Then she took great delight in getting to be the one to deliver Big Bird's Father's Day gift to him!!
(I wasn't sure how she'd feel about sharing her day with other's, but she actually thought it was quite special!!)
Then we headed to Mimi and DooDad's for celebration number 2!
Mimi prepared quite a feast and finished the meal off with this spectacular cake with our favorite homemade icing!
(Notice the dual cake...half for B and half for Father's Day!)
And then we sang to be for the second time that day!
We had more presents to open...
for both the Fathers that were present
And for our little birthday girl!
Then we hopped in our car to finish our journey home and where more presents awaited.
One from her sweet sister Chandler who might have been more excited about it being Brooklyn's birthday than Brooklyn was herself!
And some from us!
She got a Frozen swimsuit, Frozen towel and Frozen flip-flops in preparation for her upcoming
Frozen Birthday party. If you are unsure of what "Frozen" means...ask any 1-18 year old girl in America and they can fill you in with way more information and singing than you would ever want. :)
Then she had about an hour before bedtime to play with her new things before collapsing into bed to gear up for the first day of VBS.
Happy 6th Birthday, Brooklyn!
