Will she get to go to Kindergarten???
That was the big question. We had a sticker chart where she could receive stickers that showed us that she was ready (making good choices without being asked...letting others go first, cleaning up after herself, sharing, etc) or not ready (not practicing first time obedience, not listening, etc).
She worked hard all summer, and as you can see, it was close!!
But in the end, she had more stickers on the "Ready" side so she is getting go!!
But first things first...The day before school was to start, Chandler got her some gifts to help send her off in style!!
New monogrammed backpak and lunchbox (that she actually got to pick out herself)!!
Now she was ready.
Even Daddy took off work to be able to walk her in on her first day!
Don't know if you can see it in this pic, but he drank his coffee that morning out of his "Brooklyn" mug that she got him for Father's Day! So sweet!
Eddie dropped Brooklyn and I off at the front door so we could practice finding her class and going in just like she would have to learn to do all by herself. When I got out of the car with her, she told me I wasn't supposed to go in!! I convinced her that it would be ok since this was her first day EVER and she didn't know how to get to her classroom. =)
We got to her class and she wasn't timid at all about us leaving.
Such a big girl!!
She had a great first day, and so far, LOOOOOVES Kindergarten.
On Fridays, they get to wear their spirit shirts...this is her all ready to go on a Friday.
