Christmas 2014...what a blur of fun and excitement!
First, Santa came to Chandler's school to take pictures and Gibson got in on the action, too!
Then, all 3 kids got to go see Santa and the Regal Realtors' Christmas Bash.
Then, Eddie and I got to attend a very unique 60's themed Christmas party.
Eddie was able to pull off this amazing stache
Any my mom let me borrow this dress from her youth for a very authentic 60's look!
She also managed to hang on to this awesome hair piece from the 60's to complete my look!
First we had to stop by another friends Christmas party to say hello
and I do believe we were quite the surprise to the regularly dressed attendees at this function.
Then, we continued on to our final destination where we fit in a lot better!
Such a fun night!!
Our next Christmas festivity was a family one!
We loaded up the family, Eddie shaved his awesome mustache and we drove to the annual Carroll Family Christmas get-together with my mom's whole side of the family!
The girls got to see their cousins...
we got to go on a hayride...
have this super-fun stop at a playground during the hayride...
and got to make some really incredible memories.
At the end of the day we came home and rested.
Check out this cleanly shaven face! I hadn't seen it like this in years!
Next up was Chandler's class' Christmas Party!
Clearly it was pajama themed.
They got to go thru a wonderful breakfast buffet and my little healthy eater was in fruit heaven!!
They all got to do a book exchange and show them off in a class picture.
This is Chandler and one of her little besties, Samantha
Then we went over to our friends house for their annual
"Santa and Spaghetti" tradition.
Gibson wasn't very interested in sitting on Santa's lap and taking a picture.
He didn't so much mind Santa as much as he minded having to be still for more than 5 seconds. =)
This is Brooklyn's friend, Kiaya, that helps host the event each year.
Love their little toothless smiles!!
This year, they also combined their son's Ninja Turtle
Birthday Party with Santa and Spaghetti so they girls and I had some fun
with the Ninja Turtle masks!
Later that week, Brooklyn had her Christmas party at school and she wanted Chandler to come, too!
This is Brooklyn and her bestie, Elise
Photo Booth
These 5 kiddos were all in the same class last year, too.
When we were leaving Brooklyn's school, we ran into the Grinch!
Snuggling in Christmas pajamas!
Christmas Eve Service
Creating Gingerbread Men
This is Gibson's. We did teamwork. =)
They each got to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve!
The girls each got their own "Frozen" Snackeez cup
and tickets to see Frozen on Ice.
Eddie got to open a present, too!
He got a new ski helmet!
The kids were nestled all snug in their beds while Eddie and I stayed up to watch The Christmas story when what to our wondering ears would we hear?!?
Gibson screaming his head off!! He had been asleep for a couple of hours, but when I went back to check on him, I found vomit in his bed!! Not what I had envisioned for our Christmas Eve.
Poor buddy got sick about 5 more times then finally went back to bed.
We all went to bed and a little sickness didn't keep Santa from visiting our house!
The girls had a blast tearing into their things,
but Gibson could care less.
He just wanted to snuggle with me like this all morning.
We snuggled for a long time, but then I finally put him down so we could get everyone dressed to head to Mimi and DooDad's for the rest of the day.
We got all fancy...
Did a little more snuggling...
loaded up in the car and headed out for our next adventure!
We arrived and the adventure began!! Lots of cousin time!
The Buies won the award for cutest gift tags!
Gibson perked up and the big girls helped to entertain him.
Then the middle kids took a turn helping to keep him happy.
We had such a blast with this whole crew! We just missed Eddie, Brady and Valerie!!
After we spent the night at Mimi and DooDad's, we headed back to Rockwall
where Gigie, Big Bird and Babs would come to celebrate with us!
Brady and Valerie had drawn my name and got me this super-cute Razorback jacket!
Eddie's parents and sister all did so good finding gifts for Gibson that he just LOVED!!
He worked a little on his "Gibson" puzzle that Mimi and DooDad got him before bed.
Christmas just really never ended this year. =)
After Gigie, Big Bird and Babs stayed with us for the night,
we all loaded up and went to visit Uncle Chuck, Aunt Brooke, Henry and Olivia for another round of gift exchanging!!
And more super-sweet cousin bonding.
Chandler also did her part by volunteering to help unload their dishwasher.
She is a pro at this because she happily does it all the time at our house!!
All of the excitement wore her out!
And we really can't make it through a meal with guests these days without Chandler reciting her Thanksgiving poem. (And it is so stinkin' cute EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I can't bear to stop her.)
I really don't know about this picture or what it has to do with Christmas, but it was in the folder and too cute not to share. #biased
And that, my friends, was our Christmas 2014!!
