Girls Newly Decorate Bathroom

My parents came in town this weekend and did a total bathroom makeover on the kids bathroom.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how it turned out!!
My mom MADE this precious little pictures!
Don't know if it shows up in the picture, but the girl above has a "B" on her dress and the one below has a "C".
Mom added the ribbon and flower embellishment to the lamp!  LOVE. IT.
This next addition to the room might be my FAVORITE!!
Bow organization!!
I was waiting to figure out what to do with the bows because I wanted to make sure it was something that coordinated with the new bathroom.  Organization makes me SOOOO HAPPY...especially when it looks THIS CUTE!!  And, of course, Mom made this as well...she's SO CRAFTY!!
It was really hard to get a picture of it all, so pretend like I'm not in it.
(Note - I'm in my Rangers shirt...that was a happier time...we went on to lose the World Series that night.)

Thank you SOOO MUCH, Mom and Dad for all of the hours invested in this project...from just making the drive all the way over here, topainting the entire room, multiple times (we had a major paint fiasco), to replacing all of the knobs (and the issues that came along with that), and to rehanging towel bars, all before the actual decorating even began.  And, of course, after MANY trips to MANY stores and MANY at home craft projects and A GAZILLION hours spent on-line coming up with ideas.

Ya'll are the best!!  And you did an AMAZING job!!

B & C's Weekend With the Gibbs

I have never left both of the girls with anyone for more than several hours because they are A LOT of FULL-TIME work!  (And I mean that in a "you barely get a chance to eat, sleep or bathe kind-of way.")  And I just think that is A LOT to ask of anyone, even if you are paying them.  That being said, for Auburn game weekend, Eddie and I just had so much going on (attending 2 wedding showers...hosting one of them, hosting the tailgate and attending the Razorback game), that I just couldn't see how we could make it work to have kids with us.  That, combined with the fact that I do think the girls have gotten remarkably easier in the past couple of weeks, I decided to ask my poor, sweet and always helpful parents if they could watch them for the weekend.  They naively said, "Sure!"  I'm not sure if they had any idea of the workload they were about to inherit!!  I think the weekend turned out great, though!
I had a blast seeing all of my girlfriends
(Andrea is the centerpiece in red and the soon-to-be bride.)
The shower was a success!
The Razorbacks won!!
And most importantly, Brooklyn and Chandler had a blast!
They got to go to the park!
And feed the ducks
They got to eat breakfast in front of the big screen!
They got to go to their cousin Reese's soccer game!
Sweet baby Chandler got lots of attention
And they had a blast playing at Mimi's

As you can see, they were never at a loss for friends or attention.
Thank you so much, Mom and Dad for making the weekend possible!  We owe you SO BIG!!
Especially, thank you for all of the great pictures!  I love that I don't feel like I missed out on anything while I was away!

First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!!

Brooklyn, Chandler and I all made our first trip ever to a pumpkin patch!

This could hve been very cute, but Brooklyn "couldn't want" to be in the big flower and Chandler tried, but she just wasn't tall enough.  =(
Brooklyn, of course, LOVED feeding the goats...
but the goats could be a little aggressive and kept grabbing the cup that the food was in and running off with it and, although you could just go grab another cup with more food, it was still very upsetting to poor little Brooklyn...
Next up?  Hayride!!
This was definitely everyone's favorite part!  The girls giggled the whole time.  Such a blast!
Our friends, Koli and Kiaya went with us!
Koli is one of the first friends I met when we moved to Rockwall.  Her daughter is exactly 1 week older than Brooklyn and they have become the best of friends!

Well, at least when Brooklyn is in the mood to be friendly. =(
And last up?
The Pumpkins!!!

And they even had a corn maze in the pumpkin field that the girls did a million times!
In conslusion, I think we LOVE the Pumpkin Patch and will definitely be heading back!!

p.s.
Brooklyn knows that before we leave, I always have to have my phone, sunglasses and purse and sometimes she helps me gather these things if she is trying to hurry me along to go somewhere.  Well, while I was getting ready, she came in and said she was all ready for the pumpking patch.

Notice:  she has her purse, phone and glasses.

Funny girl!

My "Fair" Ladies

Our Trip to the Texas State Fair
(Note - Chandler's first Fair Experience EVER)
Man, this girl LOVES to pet some animals!
Notice that Eddie is keeping BOTH hands on her at all times.
Brooklyn has no healthy fear or respect for these animals...she tried to climb in with every animal and Eddie literally had to hold on with both hands to keep her out with B fighting it every step of the way.
A little scary...especially when it came to the longhorns!!

Chandler thought the animals were pretty cool, too, but just enjoyed them from her stroller.
Brooklyn was surprisingly big enough to ride a lot of the rides this year.
And, no surprise...
think her face says it all...
She LOVED them!!  I would even point to the biggest, fastest, scariest rides (that she was obviously way too little for) and would ask her if she wanted to go and her reply was always, "YES!!" with a huge smile and a giggle.  This whole thing was totally up her alley.
I decided to give Eddie a break and do this "ride" with Brooklyn.  It's the one with the mirror maze.  After about 1 whole minute of being inside and not making much progress I started to feel dizzy and nauseous.  I decided just to go back out, but couldn't do that either and started getting hot and sweaty and claustrophobic.

I flashed back to when I was young and couldn't get out then either.  I tried and tried and finally saw the way out and went running full speed ahead to my parents and siblings when WHAM...right into glass and fell all the way back on my bottom...completely stunned and with a HUGE knot on my forehead!!  And, when I looked up, EVERYONE in the WHOLE fair (this might be a slight exaggeration)was watching and laughing. Please remind me to NEVER do this ride again!!

I finally found my way back to the front, Eddie went back in with her and they were able to finish the ride.
Chandler was pretty much just happy chill in her stroller the whole time because she was too little to be able to ride any of the rides...
or was she?
At last!!  There was a ride she could ride!  (I'm not going to lie, the bow and ponytail on top helped.)
Chandler did NOT share her sister's love for the ride.
And, although, I look like I'm having a blast,
I'm really just laughing about how miserable this ride is!!  It was very jerky and, well, just not fun!
After one last ride with B to redeem myself from the earlier failed attempt,
I did attempt to get them something yummy and fried because I feel that is what the Texas State Fair is known for, but they wouldn't touch it!  They just preferred the goldfish I had brought from home as their snack.

Overall, a very good time and looking forward to next year...without the scary mirror maze experience!!
