On Saturday, we had two costume parties.
First, we went to a 1-year-old birthday/costume party and our girls were bees.
Brooklyn is such a funny child to me. The party was for one of Eddie's colleague's children who Brooklyn has never met before. So she didn't know anyone at the party and had never been there before, but still wasn't shy or clingy at all. She LOVES toys and loves to play by herself so she immediately made herself at home.
There are really cute wings and an antenae headband that complete this outfit, but Brooklyn would have no part of that. Oh...the joys of having a 2-year-old. =)
Chandler, on the other hand, is pretty laid back and cuddly so everyone at the party kept asking to have a turn to hold her. I didn't take pictures of the random adults holding her and, if you are worried, they never took her out of my sight. =)
Our second party was a Fall Block Party that the people on one entire street put on for our whole neighborhood!
I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but they had 2 giant bounce houses with slides, BBQ, a fire truck and police cars for the kids to climb through and real firemen and policemen! It was a beautiful day and there was a great turn out!
Brooklyn thought the firetruck was really fun!
On Sunday, we dressed the girls up, but just laid low, passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters, grilled out and watched the Rangers lose.
This time the girls were Little Bo Peep and her Little Lost Sheep
Brooklyn had a hat to go with the outfit, but WOULD NOT allow it to be on her head.
I also think it is hilarious that Chandler is all dressed up in this crazy costume, but is just chilling like everything is totally normal.
Note how red her little cheeks are! She was only in the costume long enough to take these few pictures.
Finally a decent one of Chandler's face. (the picture above) Don't you just need to kiss those cheeks?!?
After Chandler went to sleep, Brooklyn Bo Peep found a replacement sheep.
The End.
