Gibson is 18 months!!

Our little "G-Man" is already half-way to 2!
(And, yes, he finally has a nickname...Chandler also calls him "Bubby")
19 month Stats:
Height:  34 1/4...90%
Weight:  28.2...85%
HC...19 1/2...88%
He's got white-blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and 2 big dimples!  YUMMY!!
Don't you just kinda want to eat him?!?
At 18 Months, here is what he does:
Plays Catch (He's surprisingly good!! But I may be biased)
Dances (more like just running in place and laughing)
Plays peek a boo & patty cake
Goes "Round and Round"
Rocks back and forth (Tick-tock - B taught him that)
Jumps (ish)
Gives kisses and hugs
Brushes his teeth...complete with random spitting along the way
Sweats (all the time!!  always hot - even when I'm cold)
Eats with a fork and spoon (but insists on using the wrong end...still works)
He is constantly babbling, but only has a few ACTUAL words:
Na-na (mama)
Ribbit
Bubble
uh-oh
Get it
"Let it Go" (from popular Frozen movie)
eyes (and can point them out)
nose (and can point it out)
tick-tock
keys
knock, knock, knock (complete with hand motion)
dada
night-night
Quack
Shoes
no
E-I-E-I-O (Old MacDonald has a farm)
Loves:
Animals
Laughing (it's never hard to get him to laugh)
Socks
(It's actually a really weird fetish...just picks it up and throws it repeatedly for very long intervals of time)
Keys
(likes to set them down in different places, picks them up and repeats...again, for very long intervals of time)
His sisters
MAMA!
Brushing teeth
Putting on his shoes!  (think he knows it means we are going somewhere
his pacifier (but is only allowed to have it in bed or carseat)
Fruit Loops
Outside
Baby First show - Hide and Seek
Mickey Mouse (does hot dog dance)
Going night-night...he starts getting giddy when the sound machine comes on and pacifier comes out
Sleeping Habits:
Sleeps 7:30pm - 7am
Naps 2-3 hours
will still sleep in carseat
still sleeps with head on bumpers...so cute!
Random:  While G is a FABULOUS little sleeper, we have had SOOOO much trouble getting him to sleep away from home in a pack-n-play or crib.  It's been miserable.  FINALLY, when we went to my brother's wedding and I knew we would all 5 be sleeping in 1 hotel room, I tried something new.  I brought 1 whole side of his bumper out of his crib and put it in the pack-n-play and he went right down with no trouble!!!  That has been the problem!  He sleeps with his head on the bumper and hasn't known what to do without it!  Quirky little fella!!   (And yes, we've tried giving him a small pillow and a million other things, but apparently it HAS to be THE bumper from his bed)
Eating:
Terrible.
He's very picky.  I have no idea what he likes and it varies from day to day.
Food tastes better when walking around rather than sitting.
It also tastes better when coming from someone else's bowl/plate/placemat/etc...even if he has the EXACT same thing in front of him.
PB&J for lunch is about the only consistant thing he will eat.  Everything else is just a gamble.
He LOVES his milk, though.  He downs 3 full cups every single day.
Does NOT like water.  Makes him MAD if you give it to him in his cup.
Life with G:
He can be a little exhausting these days.  =)
He doesn't know how to communicate what he is wanting and gets really frustrated when I can't figure it out.  He is also at the age where he is into everything.  All the time.  Contrary to picture above, he does not love to be in a stroller and loves to explore so things get a little tricky at the big sister's soccer games, swim practices, etc.  I seriously bought a harness buddy (a leash made for toddlers) for this summer...just in case I need it.  Don't judge!!  Fortunately, his sisters are VERY helpful and patient!!
He is also super - fun!
His sisters LOVE to teach him new things and make him laugh!  He cracks us all up and no one laughs harder about it than Gibson himself!  He can also be quite cuddly!  He LOVES to sit in my lap and watch TV and/or drink some milk.
Few Other Random things:
He started walking at 13 months
He got 7 teeth in 1 month...that was the month AFTER his 1-year-old blog post (but he hasn't gotten any more teeth since then)
He's probably had 5 haircuts...just in the back and on the sides...front doesn't seem to grow!

Happy 18-Month Birthday, Little G Man!

Brooklyn's Field Day

Last year, at school, Brooklyn mostly played by herself and I had some concerns about the same thing happening at Kindergarten.  Well, thanks to the little brunette in these pictures (Addison), Brooklyn has  many friends this year and super-social Addison is her very best friend of all!
So it was no surprise that they partnered up for field day and had an absolute blast!
They had 50 different stations/activities representing the 50 different states and it was such a fun day!

And I had 1 sweet buddy that stayed with me and followed the girls from station to station to observe all the fun they were having.  Best.  Buddy.  Ever!

Dance Recital

Dance Recital

Both of the girls did great and loved every minute!
Chandler was the second act of the whole show and I loved her reaction when the curtains opened for the first time and the bright lights were on her!

She was constantly checking to make sure she was still on her "x".

Checking for her spot again!  Such a good girl!
They danced to a song called "Bless My Child" and this was their sweet ending.

Next up...Brooklyn!
 She nailed it!
And Chandler was backstage waiting for her next routine, tap, with her friends
Getting her shuffle on!

Brooklyn's Tap Routine
 Getting her shuffle on...
Love these sweet girls!!

Brooklyn and her sweet friend, Caroline, from Kindergarten

And a couple more with fabulous friends, Ava and Kiaya after the show.
Wish I had gotten more close-ups of their hair because after much work and practice, it turned out pretty fabulous!
